If you are unhappy with multiple aesthetic aspects of your smile, you may want to consider a smile makeover. This customized process consists of multiple cosmetic procedures performed at our Dallas, Amarillo, or Fort Worth, TX, locations, such as teeth whitening, dental bonding, and dental veneers. Drs. Clark Damon and Kari Blankenship are able to create a mockup to show you what your smile will look like, and customize each treatment based on your unique needs and goals.
Conceal Common Aesthetic Imperfections
A customized smile makeover can address a wide range of imperfection, including:
- Chips or cracks in the teeth
- Extrinsic and intrinsic stains
- Misshapen teeth
- Gaps between the teeth
- Crowding resulting in slight crookedness
- Uneven gum line
- Excess gum tissue that creates a “gummy” smile
The entire process is completed in phases, and the number of appointments you will need depends entirely on the procedures you include in your smile makeover.

What Procedures are Included in a Smile Makeover?
A smile makeover can include any two or more cosmetic procedures.
Our doctors offer both in-office and take-home teeth whitening for our patients. This is usually one of the first treatments patients receive in a smile makeover. Once the teeth are whitened, we can match other materials to the new shade.
Using composite resin, which is the same material used for tooth-colored fillings, Dr. Damon or Dr. Blankenship can add length and width to the teeth to close gaps and improve symmetry. Dental bonding can also conceal stains that do not respond to whitening treatments.
Using medical-grade ceramic, Dr. Damon can address intrinsic stains and correct minor damage like chips and cracks. dental Porcelain veneers can also close gaps between teeth and create a straighter smile overall. This can save patients from expensive and lengthy orthodontic treatments. When needed, your doctor will provide patients with temporary veneers to protect the teeth in between appointments.
For patients with an uneven gum line or excess gum tissue, the doctors can perform gum contouring. With this procedure, we can carefully trim away the excess tissue to create an even gum line. Your dentist can also ensure the gums are more proportionate with the teeth for a more balanced look.
Financing Your Smile Makeover
In general, most insurance plans do not cover any cosmetic dental procedures. We believe you should be able to receive the care you want and need, so our doctors strive to design smile makeover treatment plans that fit within our patients’ budgets. To make the process more affordable, we also accept CareCredit® financing. This financing plan can allow patients to make payments within a set period of time with little to no interest.
